I cannot understand why a formal preservation society in support of a trust to acquire and restore the P.S Ryde has not yet been formed. We keep on being told "the owner is not interested in disposing of the ship". Not surprising; there is no constituted organisation to take on the responsibility. Surely the owner wants assurance that the ship will be moved away from his marina as quickly as remedial work will allow.

FOR GOODNESS SAKE - FORM A TRUST AND LET'S GET MOVING! Time is running out. We'll soon see Ryde following Southsea if we just sit here and say "The owners not interested". For Ryde's sake LET'S MOVE!
