We have been trying to acquire PS Ryde for the last 2+ years and this has come to nothing. We have been onboard with Marine Surveyours and this has all cost time and money and we could pour another £15,000 into a full survey on the vessel, but as of yet the aquisition of Ryde just hasnt happened. The owner although seeming to wish to cooperate obviously has other worries at the moment and getting rid of Ryde seems to be at the bottom of his pile!! I personally and many others have spent much time and money trying to get this off of the ground and ownership still hasnt been achieved.

If it was a simple case of an amount of money then we would work to getting that, but at the moment that is not the case.

The only way this project can start is ownership of Ryde being passed into a charitable society, but as the owner currently seems to have no real wish to pass her on, this is where we are stuck at.

I am very grateful for all the interested parties and hope that soon we can get things moving, but currently there seems little we can do.

Please dont think that people are just sitting back doing nothing, the problem is though it just seems to be a waiting game, which is unfortunate as Ryde may not be able to wait much longer.
