Hello All,

It is indeed sad news to hear about the MV Southsea. It does illustrate, does it not, how important money is in order to get any restoration project of this size off the ground. As it was not forthcoming for the Southsea, her fate appeared to be inevitable I'm sorry to say. The only minor positive thing to come out of this is to become more proactive regarding the aquisition of the PS Ryde. Has it been established how many people with the necessary skills to restore her are available? The purchase of her could be a relatively easy obstacle to overcome financially, but that is no use if we do not have between us the manpower and knowledge to begin to put things right and the ongoing finance to go with it.
