i cant believe this has happened, the southsea was a lovely ship and truly deserved saving just as the ryde does, far too much of our heritage has gone now and wont ever be seen again, i can guarantee give it a few years todays kids will be saying the same thing some people do tody when they see a picture of something from the past, they will say "i wonder what that was really like" but the only answer they will have is to see it in pictures or the extremely rare footage that tv has ever captured. people that destroy our heritage just to make a few £s dont deserve to be classed as civilised beings. personaly id like to know why wightlink didnt offer to contribute towards the southsea after all she was a big part of their history but then im not surprised as they are among the money grabbing gits of the world.
