The Duke of Lancaster ship in North Wales which I used to travel past as a child on the A road has been in a terrible state since 1979.

It used to be a Sealink ship and was decided in 1979 to be bought and turned into a fun ship then market.. and now left to rot.. The ship is in fact cemented in concrete and has to be one of the strangest looking monuments on the skyline of North Wales.

I have included a link of what the ship looks like at it in its present state.

I read your site about the "Ryde" and its history and couldnt believe the state of the steamer.

It is totally disgraceful that these ships can be left unkept.
