Hello Alex,
Thank you for your comments re Ships for the Nation albeit I see what you are saying, but being 78 and working for the Medway Queen for twenty years, both of us have not too much time left to wait before the power to be get their act together.
I do appreciate what you and others are trying to do to bring to the public s attention, re your websites. In as much as the plight that the historic vessels face, your site is excellent and very helpful.
But until we get as much attention paid to historic vessels as historic buildings, little will be achieved.
With the possible diversion of funds from the Heritage Lottery Fund after 2009 elsewhere, very little hope for all.
The future for the Medway Queen to say the least is very uncertain, what does that say for the Ryde .
